Iyad Madani, the secretary-general of 57-member Organization of Islamic Cooperation, told a news conference in Pakistan that the situation in Kashmir was deteriorating and urged the worldwide community to act. When asked about the dialogue process between India and Pakistan, he said, "We are supporters of a dialogue process between India and Pakistan, as we believe that dialogue is the only way forward". The Los Angeles airport had an actual shooting in November 2013, when a man opened fire in the terminal, killing a security agent and wounding three other people. Airport spokeswoman Mary Grady said it would take much of the night to bring traffic and pedestrian patterns back to normal. Traveler Jake Szlenker, of Richmond, Virginia, recounted being in a restroom when suddenly several people ran in and said, "There's a shooter". (more...)

President Obama will meet his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday in China on the sidelines of the Group of 20 summit, with Syria high on the agenda, top aide Ben Rhodes announced Monday, stressing the need "to stay united". Syrian opposition activists have said that at least 35 civilians were killed in northern Syria in the Turkish-led operation so far. Turkey denied any civilians had been hit. (more...)

The crash reportedly occurred during a training flight near Lakefront Airport. Edwin Holmes says there should be more information about them on Monday, when the plane will be pulled back out of Lake Pontchartrain. The airport is located about 10 miles northeast of downtown New Orleans , Louisiana. The Federal Aviation Administration is looking into the cause of the crash. (more...)

Amaq news agency , a media outlet that functions as a part of IS, said the terror group took responsibility for the attack in a statement reading: "Around 60 dead in a martyrdom operation by a fighter from ISIS targeting a recruitment center in Aden city". He again blamed the attack on the Islamic State, but there was no immediate claim of responsibility. Turkish officials have blamed IS for the attack. Manbij city was freed from the Islamic State group a few weeks ago by a joint local force of the Kurdish YPG group and Arab groups, known as Syria Democratic Forces and supported by the US air force. Late last week, shortly after the Turkish incursion into Syria, Turkey and the U.S. told YPG forces to withdraw to the east of the Euphrates. Turkey last week sent troops and tanks into northern Syria to help Syrian rebels seize the town of Jarablus from the Islamic State group, and have since been fighting Kurdish Syrian forces around the town in an effort to halt their advance across northern Syria. The incident happened in the early hours Monday at the national criminology institute in Neder-Over-Hembeek, a northern suburb of Brussels , and near the famed Atomium tourist attraction. "The location was not chosen randomly", Van Wymersch added, saying the lab contains "sensitive information" being used in ongoing investigations.
