On Lopez Obrador's instructions, Mexico's foreign ministry on Friday published a 751-page document showing the USA evidence against Cienfuegos, including detailed logs of alleged Blackberry communications. Court documents filed by US prosecutors claim Cienfuegos was a close ally of the Beltran Leyva Cartel ("H-2"); helped move drugs; and leaked sensitive information in exchange for hefty bribes. Nine injured as bus left dangling from highway

The Fire Department of NY said the bus, run by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, came off the road at University Avenue and the Cross Bronx Expressway in the Bronx on Thursday about 11:10pm local time. The rest of the bus remained on the highway near University Avenue, with its design likely preventing a greater catastrophe. To underline K2's perils, a Spanish climber called Sergi Mingote collapsed and died lower down the mountain on the same day. "Savage Mountain" is named after the conditions there. (more...)
