State of Emergency declared in Ontario

The Saskatchewan Party government announced it's extending the current public health rules until January 29. This is the second state of emergency in Ontario since the pandemic began in March. Ontario's top doctors are predicting the daily death toll in Ontario could double by mid-February if current COVID-19 case rates continue. There could be as many as 6,000 cases a day in Ontario in the coming weeks. (more...)

Dutch Tv set reporter Floris Prenger explained he and his crew noticed a "tiny mountain" of foods confiscated. As per the official guidelines and the advice leaflets being handed over, if the drivers fail to declare possession of these sandwiches, or any other meat and dairy product, they could bear a fine or even criminal prosecution. Shi'ite Iran and al Qaeda, a Sunni Muslim group, have always been sectarian foes. Ten federal inmates have since been put to death. Montgomery, who was due to be killed by lethal injection on January 12, was convicted in 2007 in Missouri for kidnapping and strangling Bobbie Jo Stinnett, then eight months pregnant. She hasn't been able to continue that hobby or read since her glasses were taken away from her out of concern she could commit suicide. At trial, prosecutors accused Montgomery of faking mental illness, noting that her killing of Stinnett was premeditated ... (more...)

Residents said their houses were "shaking" after the jet made a "loud bang". . Another Twitter user posted a video in which an explosion could be heard. The council wrote on Twitter. The gorillas apparently contracted the infection from a zoo worker who also tested positive but has been asymptomatic. Pets, including various reported dogs and cats , have contracted the virus that causes COVID-19. They have cordoned off jungle and forest preserves, sheltered at the research center where they study apes, worked with local villagers and government authorities to reduce contact with apes, and worn masks to prevent virus transmission in the forest.
