The number of missing students remains unclear. A Nigerian government spokesperson confirmed to CNN that the group targeted the Government Science Secondary School in Kankara. However, Boko Haram has now said it was behind the operation. The deadly group has also extended its attacks to countries in the Lake Chad Basin. More than 36,000 people have been killed in the conflict and two million have been displaced. (more...)

Footage shows the officer dressed as Santa Claus slamming a suspect to the ground, while the officer in the elf costume arrests another one at gunpoint. As part of the "Santa's Intervention" program, police also arrested a woman who allegedly walked out of a store with a cart full of stolen items. The jolly old elf then performed a two-point takedown on the suspect. (more...)

Also last month, the Houthi rebels said they struck a Saudi oil plant with a Quds-2 missile which tore a hole in an oil tank, triggering an explosion and fire. On November 25, an oil tanker was damaged at the Saudi terminal of Shuqaiq, south of Jeddah, which the Saudis blamed on a naval mine laid by Houthi rebels from Yemen. (more...)
