Officers were called to a residence owned by the former campaign manager on Sunday night after his wife called police to say he was armed and threatening to kill himself, according to Fort Lauderdale police. Over the past week, Spain has registered the highest number of new cases within the European Union with a rate of almost 300 per 100,000 inhabitants - but in the Madrid region, the figure is now more than 700 per 100,000. Both officials, Zapatero and Illa, agreed on recommending all citizens stay at home as much as possible, even for work, and limiting trips out to those that are really necessary. (more...)

Facebook will block campaigns from submitting new ads in the week leading up to election day.
