The above warning is valid from 7am on Monday morning to midnight that night. The storm is forecast to make its way across Ireland from 7am on Monday morning. Met Éireann expects winds to reach 130 km per hour during the storm with flooding also a risk due to heavy rain and high tides. Francis Beaudette , the commander of the United States Army Special Operations Command, made the decision to deny Golsteyn's request on December 3, but only informed Golsteyn on Thursday, Stackhouse said. Matthew Golsteyn restore his Special Forces, but the service's decision is not final, Army officials said Thursday. "I was really hoping they would do the right thing", he said. (more...)

More than 2,000 people remain in shelters, many fearful of returning to their homes, and others unable to because of extensive damage.
