Prince Charles has since returned to the United Kingdom after a busy few weeks touring India, New Zealand and the Pacific. The Duke has also distanced himself from his 230 patronages after many of them cut ties with the royal. Many have accused the prince of failing to show sympathy for the accusers. The lockdown was lifted about 9:20 a.m., after about 20 minutes. "I'm told by @CapitolPolice that communication has been lost with an aircraft and that's forced evacuations of some areas of Capitol as a precaution". The White House was placed on lockdown just before 9am local time, amid an emergency which triggered " shelter in place " instructions from security personnel. (more...)

The French military said both helicopters were flying very low when they collided and crashed in Mali's Liptako region. Turkey has crossed "another red line" by starting tests of the radar detection system it purchased from Russian Federation as part of the S-400 missile defense system, US Senator for Maryland Christopher Van Hollen said.
