Papua and West Papua provinces, the resource-rich western part of the island of New Guinea, were a Dutch colony that was incorporated into Indonesia after a widely criticized UN-backed referendum in 1969. Indonesian President Joko Widodo is set to visit the region after calling for Indonesians to "forgive each other". The ship was docked at the West Indian Company dock in St. The unnamed girl was a passenger aboard the ship, along with her family. The rescue crew was eventually able to pull all three back onto the dock safely and the efforts of everyone involved was caught on video and quickly posted online . (more...)
