An image of a fully albino giant panda lumbering along in the mountains of China's Wolong National Nature Reserve was released by researchers who say it's the first time an entirely white panda has been identified. Famed for its "panda diplomacy", in which China dispatches the rare animals to other countries as a symbol of close relations, Beijing has invested in different programmes to protect its furry ambassadors in recent years. A California man has been killed by a shark which attacked him off the coast of Maui on Saturday. He was identified as 65-year-old Thomas Smiley from California. Still, a sign reading "Warning: Shark Sighted" marked the sand. It comes as a father and son recently had their fishing boat attacked by a shark off of Cape Elizabeth Point in Adelaide, Australia, according to the MailOnline. (more...)
