Assistant Attorney General for National Security John C. Demers called the case a "textbook example" of China's efforts to pilfer intellectual property from US companies. According to the 14-count indictment , Zheng worked at GE Power & Water in Schenectady, as an engineer specializing in sealing technology. Agents said that at the home, they found ammunition and nine firearms that Hopkins, 69, was not allowed to own because of his three felony convictions, including a 2006 conviction for criminal impersonation of a police officer in OR, reports NPR . According to the Sun , white supremacist John William King received a lethal injection 21 years after he chained James Byrd Jr.to the back of a truck and dragged him for three miles. "It was a just punishment". Over the years, King has also suggested the brutal slaying was not a hate crime, but a drug deal gone bad involving his co-defendants. (more...)
