The blasts hit several high-end hotels and one church in the capital, while two additional churches were targeted outside Colombo, police said. Emergency Info BC has stated that there's no warning, advisory, watch, or threat, now in place. Despite the seismic events being powerful, they occurred far away enough from land that they caused little concern. (more...)

All three athletes were professional mountaineers. All three climbers were members of the North Face's Global Athlete team . Roskelley was, in 2003, the youngest American to climb Mount Everest.
