Today's court ruling comes six-and-a-half years after a dawn raid on the flamboyant German millionaire's Auckland mansion by armed police, who were acting on information from the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Dotcom's lawyers argued that movie files stored on a server are not "objects" for purposes of New Zealand law. The point of a religious icon is to move our hearts. "We've heard scripture quoted to support these [immigration] policies". Volanthen, a computer engineer, told the Sunday Times in 2013 that the secret to cave diving was keeping a cool head. The more significant of the two disturbances was upgraded to a tropical depression at 11 a.m. and now forecast to become a Tropical Storm Beryl with maximum sustained winds of around 40 mph in the next 24 hours. Regardless if it develops, this area of low pressure will track west-northwest, north and then northeast away from the US coastline into the weekend. (more...)

British officials investigating a second case of poisoning with the nerve agent Novichok in southwestern England said Thursday they suspect the victims were not directly targeted but sickened as a outcome of the previous attack. A Public Health England (PHE) spokesman said "it is not believed that there is a significant health risk to the wider public". The man and woman, 40s, were found on Saturday in a home in Muggleton Road, Amesbury, 30 miles from Swindon. (more...)

Mobile phone footage of the incident, which happened last month, shows Ms Brunning screaming as she is dragged into the water, before the boat's crew and friends pull her out. Brunning admitted to 7 News that she was wrong to be feeding the sharks that day. Injured Melissa Branning said that was on a boat in the Kimberley and would like to feed floating nearby members of the species nurse sharks. (more...)

Melendez claimed he got yet another call within 20 minutes, patching him through to Mr. "Melendez told the Reporter that he immediately recognized Kushner's voice and replied, again using that awful English accent: "(The senator and I) had a long conversation with the president about immigration two or three weeks ago, he just wants some closure on it".
