North Korea's top envoy in Geneva condemned the latest round of United Nations Security Council sanctions against Pyongyang, describing the embargoes as an "illegal" measure. Almost 80 per cent went to China. The resolution is a water-down version of the original United States proposal, but it does ban North Korea from importing all natural gas liquids and condensates, as well as bans all textile exports and prohibits all countries from authorising new work permits for North Korean ... The council found that the act of wearing the baseball cap into the courtroom 'violated the fundamental principle that the judiciary must remain above and removed from politics, ' according to BBC.com . But the four members of the panel that heard the complaints against the judge at a public session last month said his long record of excellent service shows that he deserves another chance - in spite of what they described as serious misconduct. US President Donald Trump has said all options, including military action, are on the table to deal with the threat. Hurricane Jose strengthens to a Category 2 storm

Forecasters predict that by Friday, it will have turned into a Category 3 hurricane. Hurricane Katia is a Category 1 hurricane that formed off the Gulf of Mexico coast. According to the NHC, Jose is likely to slowly strengthen as it makes its way west through the Atlantic this week. Katia, which is located in the western Gulf of Mexico, is packing winds of 80 miles per hour, according to an 11 p.m. (more...)

"After numerous attempts to keep the mother and cub together, the animal care team decided it was in the cub's best interest to separate them", the zoo said. and take it home as a pet. Luis Valencia, 18, was stopped by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents at the Otay Mesa Port of Entry in August. They were allowed to see each other for about a half-hour, and then they were allowed to get in physical contact. (more...)

Potential tracks vary wildly, from landfalls in the south up to the Canadian maritimes, while others take Jose out to sea permanently.
