The U.S. attorney's office on Tuesday filed two forfeiture complaints seeking nearly $11 million from companies accused of laundering U.S. dollars to benefit North Korea, in violation of sanctions tied to the country's missile programs. "Trump's China strategy is that everything relates to China's behavior on North Korea", Shi said. China's representative to the U.N., Liu Jieyi, said North Korea needed to "cease taking actions that might further escalate tensions", Reuters reported . (more...)

The city medical examiner's office will now determine his cause of death. Bess was rushed to the hospital, but he did not survive, officials said. A heat advisory had been issued for the city, but it didn't go into effect until noon. The natural field helps tamp down high heat levels, according to the website, which can reduce the likelihood of heat stroke and fatigue. Bess is the second teen to die at a summer football practice in recent weeks. (more...)

Thirty-nine percent of all Americans support monuments to the Confederacy, and 34 percent oppose them - but 58 percent do agree that they should be relocated and placed within historical context. SpaceX's rocket landings have become much more successful in recent months; despite the fireball origins of the Falcon 9 landing program, it's starting to look like a viable technique that will make space travel cheaper.
