While China's imports from North Korea dropped 13.2 percent to $880 million in the period from January to June, exports to North Korea rose 29.1 percent to $1.67 billion, he said . North Koreans have known to have helped construct a new soccer stadium in St Petersburg, where at least one citizen is reported to have died. CPI-M leader Mohammad Salim said on Sunday that his party will raise the issues of cross border tensions with India and Pakistan, mob lynching by cow vigilantes, and the agrarian crisis. Apart from these issues, the CPM has requested to resolve the matter of China and that of Jammu and Kashmir. Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad made it clear today that the Congress and other opposition parties would target the government over the issues. (more...)

The US intelligence officials told the Washington Post it was unclear whether the UAE authorities had hacked the Qatar News Agency itself or paid a third party to do it. The incident helped spark a diplomatic rift between Qatar and its neighbours. The Gulf states who cut ties with Qatar last month have given their strongest hint yet that they plan to expel Qatar from the Gulf Cooperation Council, the regional trade and security group. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and the Lovington Police Department have determined that the phone itself never was submerged in the tub. It is believed she took the photo, sent it with a text to a friend, just before she died. The teenager's grandmother Donna O'Guinn said that the girl was her "shining star" and Madison was wiser than her age. "She was such a bright, vibrant, very intelligent, loving, caring young lady", O'Guinn-Downs said. (more...)

Colpo di coda della tromba d'aria anche a Torvaianica , dove intorno alle 13 si è alzato un forte vento che in pochi secondi ha fatto volare sdraio e ombrelloni, spaventando e colpendo alcuni bagnanti, fortunatamente senza conseguenze. Quattro persone sono state medicate sul posto, 2 persone con traumi cranici sono stati portati a Ostia in codice giallo, una persona con un trauma toracico è stata trasportata a Pomezia , sempre in codice giallo. It was also very shallow, only 10km below the seabed, which would have amplified its effect, but it was far from any mainland. All areas within 186 miles (300 km) may see hazardous tsunami waves, the PTWC said. Civil Defence said it was assessing the risk to New Zealand but swiftly confirmed there was no risk. (more...)
