The criticism toward Pelosi is not new but the recent backlash against her led some liberals to reiterate their support for the long-time party leader. Keep raising the concern that something needs to change within the ranks of the party's leadership. Nearly a decade later on June 12th 1967 the U.S Supreme Court ruled unanimously in favor of the Lovings , striking down laws banning mixed-race marriages in 16 states, including Virginia. Matt Fritzinger, a state employee who attended the dedication, said he was there to recognize the Lovings for paving the way for his own interracial marriage . (more...)

Macron's victory was so massive that it was not significantly overshadowed by the fact that the turnout in the first round of the French National Assembly vote was only 50%, the lowest since 1958. "It's the continuation of the real disaster that the presidential election was. we need to rebuild everything", he told BFMTV. Those who did gave Macron's the Republic on the Move party over 28 per cent of the vote - more than 12 points ahead of the closest rival, the mainstream conservatives. (more...)

Heller faces perhaps the toughest reelection race next year of all the GOP senators who will be on the ballot, so it's not entirely surprising he came out against the bill, given how deeply unpopular the House version of the repeal legislation has shown to be.
