Yanez was charged with second-degree manslaughter, punishable by up to 10 years in prison, though sentencing guidelines suggest around four years is more likely. The defense claimed Castile disregarded Yanez's orders during the traffic stop because he was stoned. Scalise is being treated, discussed his condition on Friday saying that they believed he would be in the hospital for a considerable amount of time, possibly weeks. Scalise was shot along with three other victims on Wednesday when a gunman opened fire at a park in Alexandria, Va., where a group of Republican lawmakers were holding an early-morning baseball practice.
