Duterte declared martial law in the Mindanao region, the southern third of the Philippines, and poured in troops backed by airstrikes, artillery fire and tanks to crush the urban insurrection. His opening performance started with a parody of a song from hit musical Dear Evan Hansen . Spacey delivered on this front, using the Rockettes' number to cover a costume change into Astaire-style top hat, white tie, and tails (plus spats!), before tap dancing his way through the finale. Islamabad has rejected the charges as baseless and unfounded, saying Pakistan "in the strongest terms" has condemned the Kabul terrorist attack.
