Iranian Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Alavi said the man, who remained unidentified, was killed by intelligence forces earlier in the day. After killing three people, injuring many more, and crashing their vehicle, the suspects abandoned the van and rushed to the nearby Borough Market restaurant area, where they began to randomly stab people with ceramic knives. The carnage of the London Bridge attack could have been worse: One of the attackers tried to rent a larger truck that could have killed more people, but his payment was declined. (more...)
