NSW Police say emergency services were called after a note written on a sick bag was discovered in the plane's toilet by another passenger as it approached Albury. It said passengers jumped on to the tarmac. "Get out and run, run, run!" one passenger told the Australian Associated Press. David Rank, a career foreign service officer since 1990, resigned from his post in Beijing following Trump's announcement last Thursday. A U.S. embassy spokeswoman would only confirm that Rank had made a "personal decision". What is clear is that Rank served in China when former President Obama signed the Paris Climate Agreement, which Trump and others have argued is harmful to the American economy. (more...)

Though the attack sounded "just terrible", neither child was seriously injured, a prosecutor said.
