After a deputy spotted a vehicle that matched the description of the suspect vehicle, he and another deputy made a traffic stop. Officer Tim Smith had been a member of the Eastman Police Department since 2011. ". It's a good day to find the individual who did it and arrest him". In all, 4,800 performers and volunteers will be involved in the show created to showcase Brazil as a garden of the world. All of which made some of the ceremony's segment choices curious as they underscored how the Rio organizing committee, despite Bach and Nuzman's statements to the contrary, has failed on the promise it made to IOC to transform this sprawling city stretched between the mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. On Monday, the Court Arbitration of Sport ruled that Russian long jumper Darya Klishina will be cleared to compete in Tuesday's qualification event in Rio. Klishina, 25, was the only Russian accepted for the Olympic track and field but the sport's world body suspended her on Friday after new information on her doping record emerged. (more...)

But Wiggins drags those around him up by the force of his personality - he doesn't settle for second best and he didn't want to end his career with anything other than a fifth Olympic gold , to add to his silver and two bronzes from five Games appearances. Over the weekend, rain accumulations totaled more than 20 inches in five parts of the New Orleans and Baton Rouge area. Two nursing homes were being evacuated. Search and rescue crews also found the body of a Baton Rouge woman who was discovered in her vehicle which was completely submerged in flood waters, putting the death toll for the historic flooding now at six. One of the schoolgirls pleads in the video for the Nigerian government to release members of Boko Haram in exchange for the kidnapped students from a school in Chibok, which is located in the northeastern portion of the West African country.
