Britain reduced its terrorism threat level a notch, from "critical" to "severe" on Saturday, as authorities said they had made major progress in unravelling the plot behind the Manchester concert bombing. The other nine men, aged between 18 and 44, were being questioned over their involvement in the attack and are expected to be charged soon. Police yesterday said they have "got hold of a large part" of the network linked to the attack. (more...)

Taiwan has always been considered a beacon of LGBT rights in Asia, specifically for its annual Taipei gay pride march, the largest in Asia. Manchester slowly returned to normal, though the damaged arena and adjacent Victoria train station remained closed. According to an update from the GM Police, the investigation is making good progress and they now think they know that a city centre flat was one of the last places Abedi went before heading to Manchester Arena.
