International Brent crude futures were at $50.46 per barrel at 0438 GMT on Thursday, up 24 cents, or 0.5 per cent, from their last close. Rescuers in Arkansas searched for an 18-month-old girl and a four-year-old boy who were in a auto swept off a bridge by floodwaters. Despite the husband's efforts to rescue his wife, their vehicle was swept away with the 72-year-old woman inside. (more...)
