Olympics open up new world for refugee runner

As the world fixes its attention on the Olympic Games in Rio de Janiero, the residents of the Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya will have a special rooting interest. Five members of the team, including Mr. Biel, spent their childhoods bouncing in and out of Kakuma, a refugee camp of more than 150,000 people huddled near Kenya's northwestern borders with South Sudan, Ethiopia, and Uganda. Ken Goldstein, a professor of politics at the University of San Francisco and a polling analyst for Bloomberg, says a clear shift can't be assumed until mid-August, when the convention dust has settled.
