As the procession passed the Trump International Hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue, marchers booed and chanted "shame". Trump has said, among other things, that climate change was a "hoax", tweeting in November that "the concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make United States manufacturing non-competitive". A witness told KSWB that the gunman looked "pretty relaxed" and had "a beer in one hand and a gun in the other". Three officers arrived on foot and shot the suspect after he pointed the gun at them, she said. "I heard people screaming", he said. "At this time there is no known threat however we are confirming the area is safe". A reunification center has been established at the northwest corner of Judicial Drive and Golden Haven, according to police. (more...)

"He didn't wait for his fries", said Thomas DuCharme Jr., the restaurant's owner and operator. "I'm thankful for the quick actions of my crew members", DuCharme said in a statement . "They had their guns out but when he shook his head, they lowered their guns". (more...)

South Korean defense leaders responded, saying the deal to fund the anti-missile weapon is fair as South Korea provides its land for deployment, and the United States pays for operation and maintenance. Elsewhere in the interview, Trump called a 5-year-old trade pact with South Korea "unacceptable" and said it would be targeted for renegotiation after his administration completes a revamp of the North American Free Trade Agreement with Canada and Mexico. The Pentagon said on Sunday investigations conducted during the month of March revealed coalition air strikes killed 45 civilians, mostly in and around Mosul. It is estimated that Isis now hold around 35% of the west of the city after losing the entire east of Mosul . A US-led global coalition is providing air and ground support for the offensive in Mosul , the largest city in northern Iraq, which fell to hardline fighters back in June 2014. (more...)

I think this is the man of the race today, big congrats to Valtteri, his first grand prix win. The Finnish driver , starting from third place on the grid, grabbed the initiative at the start by powering past both Ferraris and into the lead. The Fox News poll found that 51 percent of poll respondents approve of Trump's job on terrorism, while 43 percent disapprove and 6 percent do not have an opinion. Fifty percent of Republicans said his Tweets were inappropriate while 94 percent of Democrats agreed with that statement. Among Democrats, 87 percent disapprove of Trump's performance, while 88 percent of Republicans approve of the way he is handling the job. (more...)

His father regularly beat his mother, and once kidnapped her and held her at gunpoint for days. He was a man of love and gratitude for the opportunity to say his last goodbye. (more...)
