Woman shot in Willesden anti-terror operation

The woman, aged in her twenties, has been taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service. Her condition is not known at this time. Officers also later detained a 43-year-old woman in Kent. The 27-year-old was arrested on terrorism charges after being surrounded by firearms officers who pinned him to the ground. The man, armed with several knives was arrested in Whitehall on suspicion of planning a terror attack, Scotland Yard said. (more...)

Polls show Trump's approval at new low as 100-day mark looms

That's about the same as in each of the two previous CNN/ORC polls taken after his inauguration. I would give President Trump an overall B-plus for his accomplishments in the first 100 days . Bush was honest, and a CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll showed 61 percent said Clinton was honest. Trump's 53 percent disapproval rating is 14 percentage points higher than Bill Clinton's 39 percent disapproval in April 1993, the worst before Trump. (more...)

The US has stepped up its presence on the Korean Peninsula in recent weeks after North Korea engaged in a live-fire drill, a ballistic missile test and a military parade in its capital. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke personally with President Trump only days after there was talk of putting together an executive order to completely withdraw from NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement). Trump said Trudeau and Pena Nieto understand the deal must be fair for the USA or he will terminate it, which he admitted "would be a pretty big shock to the system". (more...)

In hopes of increasing this number and boosting tree diversity, the city has implemented a 50/50 cost share program. Wisconsin is second in the nation for Tree City USA communities. The state designates this week as Forest Appreciation Week as a lead up to Friday's Arbor Day observance.
