The death toll in a garbage dump collapse near Colombo in Sri Lanka over the weekend has risen to 24, authorities said on Sunday. Wickremesinghe's office said that Japanese Prime Minister Shinzoi Abe, who was in a meeting with him in Tokyo today, has offered Japan's assistance with the rescue efforts. (more...)

Pence arrived in Japan on Tuesday and met with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe for discussions on security and trade. Mexican's immigration status is in dispute over deportation

One point immigration officials and Montes attorneys agree on is that Border Patrol officials detained Montes on February 19 as he tried to scale a fence back into the U.S. However, the Department of Homeland Security is disputing whether Montes was covered under DACA at the time of his arrest. Attorneys are now suing to find out what exactly happened. (more...)

Stockholm was returning to normal yesterday, with police barricades taken down along Drottninggatan Street, where the attack took place. "I'm proud to call him a friend", the Ohio Republican said in a statement.
