The monetary fund's latest outlook for the economy comes in advance of spring meetings in Washington this week of the IMF, the World Bank and the Group of 20 major economies. The UK has also been aided by a better outlook for the world economy. "The subdued pace of expansion reflects lower headline growth in the region's oil exporters, driven by the November 2016 OPEC agreement to cut oil production", the Washington-based International Monetary Fund said. Judges at the Hague-based International Court of Justice will hand down a ruling at 1300 GMT on Ukraine's request for emergency measures, which it says will help bring stability to its volatile east. The jurisdiction of the court has been recognized in both lawsuits and "we hope for a successful hearing of these cases", Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said during a visit to London, according to a statement on the presidential website.
