Two hours before the appeals court ruling , the Arkansas Supreme Court stopped the executions of two men scheduled to be put to death Monday evening. The inmates' lawyers argued that the ruling in that case, whose oral arguments are scheduled for April 24, could apply to Davis and Ward. (more...)

Supreme Court refused to lift a stay issued Monday by the Arkansas Supreme Court that prevented the execution of one of the inmates, Don Davis, report the Washington Post , Arkansas Times , New York Times and Arkansas Online . This ruling comes after the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals overturned Judge Kristine Baker's emergency stay which blocked the executions. Braden said Ward is schizophrenic and Davis has organic brain damage and is intellectually disabled. (more...)

Heavy fog in the region made the rescue operation hard, Turkish media reports stated.
