W. Bush wanted to thank hospital and all his well-wishers. He was later admitted to the ICU to address "an acute respiratory problem stemming from pneumonia", according to a previous statement from his office. Last week, he was said to be working with physical therapists on regaining his strength. McGrath said Friday that Bush was "eagerly anticipating going home over the weekend, Monday at the very latest". (more...)

Bobcat Escapes From National Zoo In Washington

Ollie was last counted at 7:30 am Monday morning by a keeper. Staff searched the area, but couldn't find the bobcat anywhere. When she didn't show up for breakfast at 10:40, the zoo declared that she had escaped. The bobcat is named " Ollie " and she's wild-born and nearly seven years old, and weighs 25 pounds. The 26-year-old man accused of opening fire at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport earlier this month pleaded not guilty to 22 counts at his arraignment in a federal court on Monday. Santiago told Federal Bureau of Investigation agents he planned the attack and bought a one-way plane ticket from Anchorage, Alaska, to Fort Lauderdale with a layover in Minneapolis, the affidavit states. Brennan hopes to establish probable cause for prosecution, and wants a special prosecutor appointed rather than the local district attorney.
