The protesters gathered on Boston Common before marching toward the Massachusetts Statehouse, with beefed-up security including extra police officers. Now professional protesters, incited by the media, are protesting. Before ACA, people with preexisting conditions had trouble buying a plan - because insurers didn't want the claims associated with costly treatment - and people who were uninsured tended to wind up in emergency rooms seeking care when diseases hit a crisis point, meaning they were sicker and more costly to treat.
