Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered his forces to open humanitarian corridors to eastern Aleppo Friday, along with two routes for rebels to leave the city. The rebels' own shelling of residential parts of government-held western Aleppo has meanwhile killed dozens in the past week as insurgent groups staged a counter-attack from outside the city aimed at breaking the siege on areas they control. Corina said they had no reason to believe the shooting was related to the polling stations or voting, but it nonetheless prompted the temporary lockdown of two polling stations and a nearby elementary school. Authorities had not identified the victims by early Tuesday evening, but two women were in critical condition. Outside the White House, in Washington DC, people sang and prayed at an anti-Trump vigil. A group of protesters stood outside the White House holding candles, singing and listening to speeches. Trump has made numerous derogatory and lewd statements about women during his campaign. Protest organizer Elan Axelbank told the Associated Press the long term goal is to build a sustainable grassroots movement of the majority of people who don't subscribe to what he called Trump's racist ideas. Chris Borick, director of the Muhlenberg College poll in Pennsylvania, said his model found Clinton ahead by 4 points and Sen. Trump was the favorite among voters who are pessimistic about the future of the country while Clinton carried those who are more optimistic.
