Quarterback DeShone Kizer threw for 471 yards and three touchdowns for Notre Dame (2-3), connecting for two long ones to Equanimeous St. He ran for 49 yards and three more touchdowns. Outside of a strong performance by Brisly Estime returning punts - including a 75-yard return - Syracuse struggled in every aspect on special teams. (more...)

Police released a photo of a 28-year-old immigrant wanted for questioning in the blasts. On Saturday, almost 40 people were injured as a result of two blasts in NY and New Jersey as well as a stabbing spree at a mall in Minnesota. Clinton said the attacks were "a serious challenge" that the country can meet in "concert with our values" and said she has been in favor of "tough vetting". (more...)

William and Kate have so far kept up with their demanding schedule of engagements in Canada on their own while Prince George , 3, and Princess Charlotte , 16 months, have stayed in Victoria with their nanny, Maria Teresa Borallo. Of course, it's likely a nod to Canada's colors of red and white, but we're hoping the duchess will continue to add a bit more flair into her wardrobe even after she returns home. (more...)

Jordanian accused of insulting Islam shot dead outside court

A Jordanian writer and long outspoken critic of Islamic terrorist organizations was shot dead on September 25 in front of the courthouse where he was on trial for posting a cartoon of the Prophet Mohammed deemed offensive to Islam. Witnesses confirmed that Nahed was preparing to enter the courthouse when the gunman approached and opened fire. Hattar also did not reveal the source of the cartoon, and as of now, its creator remains anonymous. (more...)

Residents of Jamaica, parts of Hispañola, eastern Cuba and the Bahamas are told to be cautious, especially early next week. Matthew is the first Category 5 hurricane since Hurricane Felix in 2007. "While the National Hurricane Center's current forecast predicts Matthew traveling east of Florida, we all know that the track of these storms can quickly change", Scott said. (more...)

The outdoor party featured a petting zoo, puppet show and pony rides, but it was a balloon arch that immediately caught the attention of 16-month-old Charlotte , who was overheard by some squealing, " pop! ". While Charlotte and George aren't officially scheduled to make any public appearances during their visit, apart from their arrival, there is chance a boat trip on Saturday afternoon and the official departure will be the best chance to see the whole family.
