The pipeline, which normally carries about 1.3 million barrels of refined gasoline a day from Houston to NY, was shut down the line after the spill was discovered by a state inspector on September 9. "There have been recent reports that wholesale and retail gas prices have substantially increased in some markets". "We certainly expect the gas prices to increase, certainly while this line is under fix and not at full capacity", AAA spokesman Garrett Townsend said Monday. (more...)
