Enunwa was a surprisingly big part of the Jets' offense on Sunday, catching seven balls and leading the team in targets. He finished the afternoon 19/35 for 189 yards, with two touchdowns and one interception. They may have missed an opportunity, however, to move into the top Wild Card spot ahead of the Giants. They finished their head-to-head season series against the Mets at 12-7. The St. Louis Cardinals now lead the Chicago Cubs 4-2, so the Mets are unlikely to pick up more ground at this point. The Browns traded out of the No. 2 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft , in part because they didn't think Carson Wentz "was the right fit". However, he wore one, too, in that Tampa Bay game. Cavani should score another goal. The Uruguay forward expertly rounded Ospina but lost his balance and missed the target in front of an open goal. The Braves (55-87) snapped a four-game losing streak. On Sunday they said farewell to Turner Field with a 10-3 demolition of the Braves , giving the Mets seven victories in their last eight games and five of six on the road trip. (more...)

Paralympic cyclist Jon-Allan Butterworth has said he hopes to inspire people to "follow their dreams" after becoming the first British serviceman or woman injured in Iraq or Afghanistan to win Paralympic gold. On long-distance passing downs, ravenous Ravens rushers just teed off on Taylor, all day. That it blanketed Buffalos receivers so well might say more about how poor that Bills unit is, rather than how good the Ravens defensive backs are. (more...)

Jamie Murray clinched his second Grand Slam of the season with the Men's doubles title in NY whilst Edmund (fourth round) and Evans (third round) also impressed at Flushing Meadows. The 21-year-old also reached the US Open fourth round but, at a career high of 55 in the world, is ranked two places behind Evans, who held match point against eventual champion Stan Wawrinka in the third round in NY before losing in five sets.
