YouTube originally had a requirement of 10,000 subscribers for users to go live on a tablet or mobile device, which was pretty demanding for the ordinary user. "We've been experimenting and expanding mobile live streaming for nearly a year now". At that time, the Google-owned service stated that it had an edge over competitors, as streamers and viewers could search live broadcasts like they search recorded videos. (more...)

As part of the announcement, Twitter revealed that it is joining the Swiss-US Privacy Shield program and adhering to the Digital Advertising Alliance Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising, and boasted that "privacy is built into our DNA as a company" - but it's hard to ignore that both of these changes give it more free reign ... The rare snail - named Jeremy - has a shell whose spirals turn in an anti-clockwise direction, meaning that he can not mate with the majority of the world's snail population who spiral the opposite way. The search turned up Lefty in Ipswich and Tomeau, who was flown into the United Kingdom from a snail farm in Majorca. Their initial question: do two left-coiling snails produce left-coiling offspring? Jeremy remains with his new neighbours in the Nottingham laboratory and is helping to look ... (more...)

The game will be a choose-your-own-adventure style game, allowing players to play as the beloved Planet Express crew, exploring both the iconic New New York as well as various locations throughout space. The South Korean defense minister stressed that after the assessment of the recent North Korean missile test, both Seoul and Tokyo agree that Pyongyang might have launched an intermediate-range missile, instead an intercontinental one. He added, however, that in his view, "there is still a window for trying to negotiate with North Korea... at a point which it is much less of a threat to the U.S". (more...)

The government has not publicly acknowledged that the NSA developed the tool. Cyber security researchers around the world have said they have found evidence that could link North Korea with the WannaCry cyberattack. It is not clear if the goal of the WannaCry malware is to extort payments or to cause widespread damage. For users running pirated Windows, getting infected with WannaCry is just one of the risks they agree with when not getting a genuine license. (more...)
