Samsung Will Give Combusting Galaxy Note 7's A Second Life

Following a worldwide recall of about 2.5 million Galaxy Note 7 smartphones, Samsung said it would refurbish some, and break down others for parts and precious metals. Ahead of this week's Galaxy S8 unveiling, Samsung has announced a three-point programme for recycling of its failed phablets, and some of them will eventually make their way back into consumers' hands. "I even tried removing the foam, and sure enough: The controller stops working properly when it's not there". The GameStop executives predicted continued supply issues for the Switch while also acknowledging a recent report that Nintendo is planning to double its production of the system for the upcoming fiscal year-from 8 million units to 16 million units ... SpaceX has successfully landed a recycled rocket

Once it landed after its initial flight, the first-stage booster traveled via ground transport to Florida for refurbishment before heading to SpaceX's McGregor, Texas, development facility for testing and then, finally, the launch site at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. (more...)

Whitson and her station commander Shane Kimbrough completed preparations for a new docking port at the station. About halfway through the procedure, though, a piece of cloth shielding floated away from the astronauts . Crew 50 and Mission Control certainly demonstrated that this week, maintaining a tradition that brought the Apollo 13 astronauts safely back to Earth and has kept the ISS running for nearly two decades. The comet's official name was given in honor of the three astronomers who discovered it, but due to it's unusual timing this year, it's been dubbed the April Fools' Day Comet. Just face the north and aim the telescope slightly above the North Star (also called Polaris or Pole Star) just over the horizon, and you will see a green-glowing fuzz ball - that's the Green Comet, 41P/Tuttle-Giacobini-Kresak, discovered on May 3, 1858 by Horace Parnell Tuttle, L'uber Kresak and Michel Giacobini. So, needless to say, the mood at Mission Control was tense. Cameras tracked the shielding as it drifted into the distance, and Mission Control said there was no danger the lost shield could hit and damage the space station. During the first spacewalk , the Pressurised Mating Adapter-3 (PMA-3) was prepared for installation of the second International Docking Adapter, which serves as a home to commercial crew vehicle dockings. Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Lu Kang gave no details of the agenda in announcing Xi's travel plans at a daily news briefing in Beijing , but spoke of the need to see the big picture while fostering mutual interests in trade relations. Months before Apple could release a new iPhone that's all screen, glorious screen, Samsung beat it to the punch. This is in line with previous reports from KGI Securities analyst - Ming-Chi Kuo which claimed that Apple, indeed, is working on a 3D camera which will help Apple built upon its Augmented Reality (AR) objectives.
