Magic mushrooms could make people with severe mood disorders feel better for months at a time. Two new studies found that a single dose of psilocybin, the psychedelic compound in magic mushrooms, helped relieve the symptoms of depression and anxiety in cancer patients for at least six months. Researchers from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and NYU Langone Medical Centre in NY carried out trials on a total of 80 volunteers with cancer who had reported symptoms of depression and anxiety . At the six-and-a-half-month stage, these anti-depressant effects were still noticeable in approximately 80 percent of participants. One woman described her trip as "spectacularly gorgeous" and concluded "there's still beauty in life". (more...)

Many players quit playing Pokemon Go after the tracker was disabled and Pokemon Go shut down third party apps that revealed the specific location of Pokemon. Players can tap on individual Pokemon to expand the photo and highlight the PokeStop on their map. The Pokemon Go team has certainly been busy releasing lots of new updates and events lately. As for what's new with this version of the beta software, the glaring and most obvious change is that it introduces Android 7.0 Nougat, which in itself introduces some features and changes that are specific to this version of Android, such as the multi-window support. The cyclone is positioned at 270 km southeast of Puducherry. Marwah also held detailed discussions with Rao in a meeting attended by other senior officials including Revenue Secretary B Chandramohan. It said he was taken on the first available flight to McMurdo Station, a USA research center on the Antarctic coast. One person was insistent, presumably jokingly, that they were coyote eggs. Now experts are attempting to identify the creatures, which burrowed into the beach. Claude Panis, who has worked for the lifeguard department for almost 40 years, told the Orange County Register he was unsure what the jelly creatures were; however, he said it was possible they were a lingering effect of last winter's El Niño. It is quite separate from the DNA in the cell nucleus which house the vast majority of an individual's genes. They also collected donor eggs from 11 healthy women, screened to confirm that they did not carry inherited pathogenic mutations in their mtDNA. This was too small an amount to cause any problems.
