Although the USA has a policy of neither confirming nor denying if its military ships are nuclear powered or armed, New Zealand's Prime Minister John Key has said he's satisfied the Sampson doesn't have nuclear capabilities. "Look at this road here, this is really stuffed and there's thousands of meters (yards) of it", Key said. "I just don't see how you can ever fix that bit of road". (more...)

A rare supermoon is seen from South Milford, North Yorkshire. It is notable that the moon was a bright orange andred color when it rose yesterday, making the supermoon's effecteven more pronounced. At its furthest orbital point from the Earth, the apogee, it is 5% more distant. Affelia Wibisono, an astronomer from the Royal Observatory, Greenwich, said those using cameras would have the best result. (more...)
