IPhone 7 Verizon LTE Issues Fixed By iOS 10.0.3

Pre-update, users were experiencing unexplained signal drops and issues with Global Positioning System. Since the 10.0.3 update addresses an issue specifically for the iPhone 7, the update is not seen by other iPhone models. The new iOS 10.0.3 takes care of that, but users will have to turn VoLTE back on manually after the update, as the feature will not re-enable itself automatically. (more...)

India joined almost 200 countries on Saturday to seal a legally binding deal that aims to reduce climate damaging greenhouses gases in products ranging from air-conditioners and refrigerators to shaving foams - a pact which will come into effect from January 2019 for developed countries such as the United States but much later for developing economies. Chinese astronauts launch into space for 30d stay on experimental space station

Astronauts Jing Haipeng and Chen Dong will take two days to reach the Tiangong-2 space lab, or "Heavenly Palace-2", which was launched in September. They will stay in space for 30 days - the longest duration for Chinese astronauts. China can now test technologies for cargo spacecraft docking, life support system operation and water recycling to ensure a long-term continuous operation of its space station in the future with less dependance on replenishment from the Earth, he said. The previous Antares rocket exploded in a fireball on October 28, 2014, just seconds after liftoff, destroying the cargo capsule and damaging the launch pad. Orbital ATK, based in Dulles, Virginia, and a second company, Elon Musk's SpaceX, have contracts with NASA to conduct the resupply missions. NASA has been relying on Orbital ATK and SpaceX to keep the space station stocked since its shuttles retired in 2011. (more...)

IS captured Mosul in the summer of 2014 when it swept across northern and western Iraq, and it was there that IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi first announced a self-styled caliphate, which at that time stretched across a third of both Syria and Iraq. Jing Haipeng, 49, and Chen Dong, 38, were seen off by cheering crowds at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, on the edge of the Gobi desert in northern China. Congratulations Bob - actress Molly Ringwald , who appeared in Dylan's video for "Unbelievable", on Twitter. More than 50 years on, Dylan is still writing songs and is often on tour. (more...)

Prithvi Mhaske of Sangharsh Foundation, Censor Board of Film Certification member Ashoke Pandit, filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri and actor George Baker have welcomed the decision of Mumbai Academy of Moving Image not to screen the film. Sangharsh had said it was inappropriate to show the film, which was Pakistan's official Oscars entry in 1960, following an attack by militants that killed 19 Indian soldiers in India-administered Kashmir. The launch comes almost two years after a rocket exploded shortly after takeoff from Wallops Island. That's because a Soyuz capsule is slated to bring three new crew members to the ISS on Friday, and NASA wants to wait to dock the Cygnus until after the new astronauts have arrived safely. (more...)
