Federal Reserve would hike interest rates. The MSCI Asia Pacific Index fell 0.1 per cent to 137.51 as of 4:35 p.m.in Hong Kong, after earlier rising as much as 0.7 per cent. The dollar was at 101.93 yen, slightly stronger than 101.85 yen on Monday in NY, but still down from levels around 102.50 yen earlier Monday in Asia. (more...)

The entire domain hasn't been blocked, but TorrentFreak reported that Chrome and Firefox users are now unable to access the site's torrent search result pages. Budak's killing comes two days after militants from the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) wounded 50 people in a vehicle bombing in the nearby city of Van close to the offices of the AK Party, founded by President Tayyip Erdogan. Three of the suspected PKK militants were killed by artillery fire in one part of Semdinli, while the other two were killed close by, the security sources said, without giving further details on the operation. Finally, users have stated that the iOS 10 within iPhone 5/iPhone 5C would not display a list of voicemail messages that are recorded within the handsets. It can send WhatsApp messages, initiate Skype calls, request an Uber taxi, etc. iOS 10 began rolling out to users today complete with Siri support for third-party integrations and the Facebook-owned messaging service is taking advantage. A strike list issued by the US on Saturday said it had carried out a strike at Deir al-Zor against five Islamic State supply routes, as well as strikes near Raqqa and elsewhere in Syria . Tesla has started to add more safety warnings to the AutoPilot system, to avoid drivers taking hands off for extended periods of time. Tesla on Sunday said it would in the next two weeks release an update for Autopilot that prioritizes radar data over camera data, which it said would likely have prevented the Florida crash. They famously sued popular video game YouTuber Jim Sterling earlier this year for $10 million in damages. The lawsuit seeks 18 million dollars from 100 anonymous Steam users. The Verge reported that in order to get the first dibs of Apple's new products, prospective buyers should begin lining up on September 9 around 3 AM outside phone stores where they could purchase it. For headphones that use Lightning cables, the reviews are generally positive. Ahead of the Fed meeting, a plethora of USA economic data was released on Thursday, mostly worse than expected, which generally did not bode well for the prospects of a United States rate hike by an already skittish Fed. The U.S. curve is at its steepest since June and the euro zone's its steepest since May. The SNB warned that significant risks remained after sticking with its ultra-loose monetary policy and currency intervention, while the BoE said it was still likely to cut interest rates ... Samsung has stated that they have discovered a manufacturing flaw in one of the two companies responsible for production of its batteries. But after this Note 7 incident, we can expect anything. Through cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), a total of 8 million Galaxy Note 7 units are either going to be refunded or replaced, which is definitely a costly setback for Samsung , even more so with Apple selling its iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in overdrive mode. The company that made software that controls Tesla Motors' Autopilot system says it warned the automaker not to allow drivers to take their hands off the steering wheel while using the system but was ignored. The two had worked on the system together but stopped the partnership in July. Musk described the pending changes Sunday. Study's lead researcher Dr Jeffrey Splitstoser from George Washington University said that discovery has shown that ancient South Americans were not backwards and in fact, they were moving ahead with the rest of the world. When researchers first examined the fabric samples, found at a site called Huaca Prieta, they were so dirty they appeared colorless.
