Growth in global oil demand to slow from 2025 - IEA
- November 15, 2019
With nearly a tenth of the world's population living in SE Asia, a rapidly developing industrial base and growing consumer class, it is unsurprising that there has been an increase in demand for energy. While the rise in emission is slowing down, rise in emissions slows but, 'with no peak before 2040, the world falls far short of shared sustainability goals'. (more...)

Curiosity noticed unusual changes in the concentration of oxygen on Mars
- November 15, 2019
The hunt is part of NASA's mission to determine whether life ever existed on Mars . Carbonates help form structures that can survive in fossil form for billions of years, including seashells, coral and some stromatolites. Evidence of the delta's arms was found running along the crater's floor using orbital observations. They considered the possibility that carbon dioxide or water molecules could have released oxygen when they broke apart in the atmosphere , leading to the short-lived ... (more...)

Boeing Proposes 'Fewest Steps to Moon' for NASA's Human Lander
- November 07, 2019
The samples preserve the vertical layering of the lunar soil storing information on landslides and volatiles trapped beneath the Moon's surface. Using the more powerful block 1B variant of the SLS, Boeing says a lunar landing can been carried out with just five "mission critical events" instead of almost a dozen required by competing designs that might require the use of Gateway and multiple launches with less-powerful commercial rockets.
