SpaceX's Crew Dragon spacecraft has aced yet another critical test. SpaceX tested the third iteration of the parachute system on its Crew Dragon human spacecraft. SpaceX also updated the stitching pattern to optimize the load balance on the new parachutes. If all that works (and that's a big "if"), NASA and SpaceX could start running the crucial Demo-2 tests to the worldwide space station with test-flight crew aboard. (more...)

At the same time, the colours in the image can be explained by the combination of three wavelengths of infrared light, with green and red colours representing light released by dust radiating at different temperatures.
