The orbit of Chandrayaan-2 around the Earth was raised for a third time on Monday at 3:12 pm to reach a highly elliptical orbit of 276 x 71792 km. Chandrayaan-2 comprising of the orbiter, the lander Vikram and rover Pragyan was launched by GSLV Mark III launch vehicle from Sriharikota on July 22. (more...)

Named Asteroid 2019 OK , the rock measured between 57m and 130m in diameter, Nasa's Jet Propulsion Laboratory said on its Centre for Near Earth Object Studies website. The National Science and Technology Council released a 20-page report on June 21 calling for improved asteroid detection, tracking and deflection.
