The company posted an operating profit of 6.1 billion rupees in the last three month period at its European operations in contrast with a net loss of 7.6 billion rupees year over year. ITC stock surged almost 6 per cent after the government sold its 2 per cent stake in the FMCG firm that was held through SUUTI , but most of the gains were erased due to profit-booking. With this, the government holding in ITC through SUUTI has come down to 9.17%. The ad Super Bowl night followed two teasers featuring Pro Football Hall of Famers Joe Montana and Mike Singletary discussing the value of teamwork and courage, especially as it relates to our troops. As the finale of the Super Bowl was being played between Patriots of New England and Falcons of Atlanta, Hyundai US did what no one expected - they virtually "reunited" deployed US troops with their families, giving them a chance to watch the match together. France's trade deficit narrows in December as Airbus deliveries boost exports

Data showed France trade deficit fell to EUR 3.421 billion from EUR 4.37 billion in November and compared to EUR 3.612 billion a year ago. A gain in exports of commercial aircraft, heavy machinery and autos offset a rise in imports. Excluding petroleum, the trade shortfall narrowed to $38.2 billion from $39.7 billion. France's current account deficit fell to Euro 1.1 billion in December from Euro 2.8 billion in the previous month. (more...)

USA earnings reached a record $12 billion in 2016, beating the previous year's total by $1 billion. Due to the decomposition, there was no determination as to cause of death or whether any of the infants had been born alive. Police were called and discovered the remains in garbage bags and other containers inside the locker. Children's toys, children and infants' clothing and blankets were found alongside the remains in the locker. A judge ruled she probably had a miscarriage early in that pregnancy. (more...)

Since the reserve's peak in June 2014, China's monetary authorities have used the equivalent of about US$1 trillion.
