Malta's Prime Minister Joseph Muscat tweeted he had been alerted to a "potential hijack " of the Libyan plane . The plane , which was originally headed to Libya, made an emergency landing in Malta . Malta , a tiny nation of less than half a million people, is a member of the European Union. The Airbus A320 of Afriqiyah Airways was diverted on Friday morning. (more...)

The church is located at 5123 Revere Road. Holyoke Assembly of God will host a Christmas Eve service at 6 p.m. Sunday's service will be at the regularly scheduled 10:30 a.m., and Sunday school will be canceled. (more...)

The Act makes it a crime to bribe foreign government officials to win business regardless of whether the payments are made directly or through other means such as extravagant entertainment or footing the bill for global travel. In one of the bribe scenarios, from 2010 to 2012, Teva paid a Russian official allowed the company to reap $200 million in illicit profits even though Russia's public health system was looking to cut its spending on foreign drugs, the company said. People can now order cash on Snapdeal to be delivered at their doorsteps, reported The Economic Times . Banks are also strapped for cash , capping withdrawals at Rs24,000 ($353) in a single visit to the bank and Rs 2,500 ($37) per card. Live in Gurgaon and Bangalore, the service is slated to be extended to other major cities in the days to come following the government's demonetisation drive. (more...)

US lenders including JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America have already settled with authorities over their actions, while the US Justice Department is still in negotiations with Deutsche Bank about a possible settlement. Fears that the fine would outweigh the firm's provisions of 5.9 billion euros ($6.2 billion) for outstanding legal cases have weighed on Deutsche since the fine was announced. (more...)

Tatts continued to unanimously recommend the Tabcorp agreement. The Pacific Consortium, led by Macquarie Group Ltd (ASX: MQG), had made an offer equating to between $4.40 and $5.00 per share. Their proposal offered between $4.40 and $5.00 per Tatts share. It also said net debt was A$1.2 billion, which is higher than the A$1.04 billion the consortium assumed in its proposal, and that it was unclear if its lottery license in Victoria state would be renewed or on what terms. After banning old 500 and 1000 rupee notes from 8th November, the government allowed individuals to deposit banned notes till 30th December 2016. Keeping this in view and to reduce the queues in the banks, it has now been decided that amounts exceeding Rs.5000 in old notes can be deposited only once between now and 30th December, 2016.
