More than 250,000 jobs will be lost this year due to plant closing announcements, according to Challenger, Gray and Christmas. Benchmark U.S. crude dipped 60 cents, or 1.2 percent, to $47.64 a barrel in NY. The 10-year Treasury note rose as high as 2.34%, its highest level in about a year, before settling at 2.32% Tuesday.
