Lufthansa has offered to increase the pilots' pay by 4.4 percent in two instalments and make a one-off payment worth 1.8 months' pay. The Lufthansa pilots staged a strike on Wednesday demanding salary raises. Flights to and from Germany that are provided by other Lufthansa Group airlines will operate as scheduled. Organizers said they expect delays and disruption, particularly for United and American Airlines. More people shopped online vs.in stores, NRF said.
