Vance launched Operation Honor, a military program to address sexual offenses, in 2015 after an external investigation said the Canadian Armed Forces had an underlying sexualised culture hostile to women and gays. The Canadian survey showed female victims were far more likely to be sexually assaulted by someone in authority, with 49 percent of women assaulted in the last 12 months identifying a supervisor or someone in a higher rank as the perpetrator. His 67-year-old father was one of the most flamboyant drivers of his generation. The British driver said: "I did nothing risky so I don't feel I did anything unfair". "It's insane. The Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) infuriated pro-Brexit Conservatives with its prediction that withdrawal would wipe 2.4% off growth over the next five years while adding nearly £60 billion to borrowing. The original forecast for 2019 and 2020 called for growth of 2.2% and 2.1% respectively. In an attempt to prepare Britain for leaving the EU, Hammond said the government planned to invest 1.0-1.2 per cent of GDP on economic infrastructure from 2020, up from 0.8 per cent now. (more...)
