This does not mean that the worldwide trade negotiations will remain quiet. The United States is 60 percent of the combined GDP of that group and Japan less than 20 percent, so those conditions can not be met without USA participation. (more...)

Airbus says the A350-1000 will be 25 percent cheaper to operate than the competing Boeing 777-300ER, an older aircraft which weighs more but which has more seats in some layouts. The govt however clarified that Rs 1000 notes would not be accepted anywhere after 24 November. The government demonetised Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 notes on November 8 but provided a number of exemptions where they could be used till November 24. The deadline for the payment of utilities - only water and electricity - has been extended till December 15. (more...)

Mumbai: The rupee crashed to almost 39-month low of 68.84, plummeting by by another 28 paise against the United States dollar in early trade on Thursday amid sustained foreign fund outflows and the greenback's surge in overseas markets.
